Bio:
Brian is a recognized pioneer and leader in the deployment of AI and Augmented / Virtual Reality (AR VR) and voice-enabled wearable computing across manufacturing, healthcare, education, automotive, oil and gas, logistics, IT, telecoms and entertainment verticals.
Brian is currently the VP of Sales and Marketing for DigiLens, where he was brought on to scale the launch of their new ARGO AI enabled smartglasses and waveguide licensing business and to accelerate their market growth.
He is a former co-founder and Chief Business/Revenue Officer for RealWear, Inc., where he established a global sales force, ISV partner and channel reseller network, and successfully drove product adoption in over 57 countries — growing RealWear from concept stage to a world leader in industrial wearables. More recently, he was President and Co-founder of Hippo Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of Virtual Care solutions to the healthcare and medical education sectors.
Previously, Brian served as Vice President of Sales and Business Development at DAQRI which raised over $140 million in capital from venture and family offices and which pioneered the commercialization of Augmented Reality. Brian has also been involved in pioneering VR technology in the field of sports simulation and was a co-founder of a micro-transaction platform connecting commerce and celebrities which was privately sold in 2011.
Brian began his career with Siemens and graduated from the University of Rochester with a BA in Economics and Anthropology and holds an MBA and MS in Information Science from Penn State University. Brian is married with three children and is involved in a variety of philanthropic initiatives.
Why I am excited to be an AAIA Chapter President:
I’m thrilled to join the AAIA and expand technology engagement in the Greater Portland area and Southern Washington. As the AI revolution unfolds, it’s crucial that we educate and align our communities on what AI can mean for them, ensuring everyone has a seat at the table in this advancement. The future of work, play, and education is on the brink of transformation, and the AAIA offers a vital platform for our community to engage, learn, and shape this new era together.
What I hope to accomplish in the upcoming year in my Chapter:
The Greater Portland Area and Southern Washington is truly a gem on the West Coast, boasting a world-class talent pool and exceptional people and companies. My vision for our chapter is to strengthen our community through engagement, fostering a vibrant local ecosystem that promotes new career opportunities, supports existing businesses, and nurtures the next wave of entrepreneurship in the Pacific Northwest. Together, we can position Silicon Forest as a leader in the AI revolution.
